Join us for the kickoff of POETS IN THE PARK, Saturday Oct. 10, 4pm in Tucson’s Armory Park! Organized and hosted by Tucson Poet Laureate Logan Phillips.

The theme for this first edition is POETS ARE CULTURAL WORKERS! We’ll have 25 poets on the mic, celebrating them as artists, but also recognizing that each of them does work to create more space for poetry & expression in Tucson – open mics, spaces, workshop series, and more!

Poets in the Park is social poetics, plus: music, food, publications, open mics, workshops, resources… connection of all kinds, in alignment with Tucson’s ¡Somos Uno! Cultural Strategy.

“Doors” open at 3:30, arrive on time for raffle tickets, the book swap and activity tables!

FREE and ALL-AGES, wheelchair accessible seating, stage and restrooms. Bring sun protection and water, and consider bringing cash for the food truck and an epic raffle by donation.
